By laying out flowers and leaves onto silk or wool, bundling them up tightly round a piece of dowel and then steaming or boiling, fascinating results can be achieved. You will create a number of samples on silk using a variety of fresh and dried flowers and leaves from the garden. You are very welcome to bring your own flowers and leaves as well or see what they will do. These samples can be framed, used in patchwork, in a cushion or to cover a notebook. Warning: it is a very experimental process so results can be disappointing as well as amazing.
